Tomorrow we are off to yet another one of Phoenix's specialists. This is the doctor that is keeping a close eye on his mobility and rx'd his last set of ankle braces. Its already been six months since Phoenix got his first set of braces, crazy. We had our most awesome PT write up a report on Phoenix so that she can get the gist of where he stands physically now. And reading it makes my heart hurt. Sure there are lots of ways that he improved, but the talk of botox injections and wheel chairs scares the living snot out of me. I really want for my son to be able to walk and play sports....and I know he is only two but I've been really thinking lately to be realistic. Even if he is in a wheel chair, my little guy is super smart. He loves to figure out how all his toys work, turns them over and over again before playing with them the right way. I know he can live a long and full life if it comes down to that. But really...seeing a 3yr old in a wheel chair just brakes me. So tomorrow we go as a family and discuss our sons future weather or not we want him to be re-casted for hinged braces, get botox injections into his muscles, and to see if a wheel chair is in his future.
