Phoenix is doing well, PT 3x a week and then his usual OT and ST. The Botox has fully kicked in now and its making all his therapies go alot easier. We have his next round scheduled for October. Thursday we go in and he will be getting evaluated with the IU 13 to see what services he qualifies for through them. He will switch when he turns three in October. My hope is that he would qualify for a preschool program where he would get all his therapies at school 2-3 times a week and also get socialization with other "regular" kids. We were told back in June that the state is cutting back the funding for these programs and making them harder so we will see. If that doesn't work then it will just be new therapists coming out to our house till he turns 5 and can enter public school. (that just scares the crap out of me!) I kinda go into cold sweats when I think about the change, all new people that he has to get used to, new times, new routines and just change. Did I mention I don't like change, especially when Phoenix is concerned. He is already weary of many things and I love his therapists. Ahh well my little boy is growing up.
Tomorrow is a big day for Tristen, we get to go into his school and meet his teacher. Every day for the last month he keeps asking when he gets to go to school and ride the bus. I can finally tell him that its only a week away. I'm so excited to get to send him to pre-k, I can't wait to hear all the fun things that he will learn.
So now we are just gearing up for school, birthdays, parties or not to have parties, and get ready for fall. :)
