I'm so glad that we are switching pediatricians offices. This week we were suppose to meet with a pediatric pulmanologist to see what options where out there for Phoenix's sleep apnea and the darn dr's office made us the wrong appointment with just a nurse. I guess it was informative I now understand better that 90% of Phoenix's sleep apnea is central and not obstructive and they were thinking that it may be caused by his PVL(brain injury at birth) but it still felt like we wasted 3hrs of our time that day. Now we have to wait for her to talk to the actual pulmnologist and see if he wants to go CPAP route or to get his anoids out. Which means another appointment back to Hershey in the next month or two. Yay.
This morning we had our transition meeting with the IU-13. When Phoenix turns three he is switched from early intervention to the IU-13. I really didn't get a good vibe off our IU support coordinator....she seemed the type of person to just yes you to death and not really listen, though I hope I'm wrong. So from here he is evaluated by there team of therapists and then we will go over our best plan when we know where he falls on that scale.
Botox is next Wednesday, and as long as he doesn't get sick we are a go for that. Really anxious to get him treated, I think this round is really going to help him. And thats about it for this week :)
