Phoenix had his neurology appt yesterday and it went really well. She was very happy with his progress and says that his cognitive skills fall around 12 months, more around his adjusted age. She thinks that the high tone in his hips is really affecting his mobility and is referring us to a Physiatrist. I had to look up what kind of doc that was and it says more of a rehab physician. We have our eval appointment with Dr.Stark next Friday. I also want to start water therapy, I have a call into our EI coordinator and hopefully she can help us set that up. I asked the neuro the question that is always on my mind, weather or not he is ever going to walk, and she said she is very hopeful. He shows the signs that he wants to, its just that we have to get that high tone down. He may not walk until he is 3 or 4 but that's alright, I just want him to be able to down the road.
I believe we are finally on the mend, Tristen has been fever free for 2 days now and Phoenix seems not to be sneezing as much anymore. We did have a scare last night, we think Phoenix is allergic to strawberries. We gave him some strawberry applesauce and hives began to show up all over his torso and face. After an hour and some benadryl they did pretty much go down.
So here is to hoping for some stress free time this weekend and I can't wait for the warmer weather on Friday!
